Rib-fillet Steak with Caramelised Onions and Green Beans Recipe

Rib-fillet steak with Caramelised onions and Green beans Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 Rib-fillet steaks (1cm slices)
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 clove of garlic minced
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
  • 300g Green beans
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  1. Dice onions into small cubes and top and tale your beans.
  2. Place a large non-stick frying pan on a medium-high heat.
  3. Rub the steak all over with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, then sear on all sides for 3 minutes in total, so you achieve good colour on the outside but keep it medium rare in the middle, or cook to your liking, turning regularly with tongs.
  4. When the steak’s done, remove to a plate and cover with tin foil to rest and keep warm.
  5. Reduce the heat under the pan to medium and add the onions cooking till translucent, once done take out of pan and put to the side.
  6. Mix together the parsley, garlic and butter add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add beans and half of your garlic butter to the pan and cook for 8 minutes, or until a little golden, tossing regularly.
  8. Finishing with a little extra virgin olive oil, or a bit more garlic butter.
